Press Release - PIMVA-Leaving the Scene
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports, on 10/11/15 at approximately 8PM Deputies were dispatched to the area of Cayuga St. in the Village of Interlaken for the report of two parked vehicles being struck by a pickup truck. Witnesses reported that the driver of the pickup had then fled the scene. A second witness then began to follow the pickup when he observed the vehicle roll over and crash on Arden Rd. in the Town of Covert. Upon Deputies arrival, they discovered a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado being operated by Michael C. Holcomb, age 40, of 8268 Main Street, Interlaken, NY. Holcomb was trapped within the vehicle and needed to be extricated by members of the Trumansburg Fire Department. Upon extrication, Holcomb was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY via LifeNet. Holcomb has since been released from SUNY Upstate Medical Center and was treated for minor injuries. Sheriff's Deputies report that the investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
