Seneca County Sheriff's Investigators arrested James D. Cooley, age 33 of 53 East Bayard Street Apt. 2 Seneca Falls, New York. Cooley was arrested at his residence on December 20th 2014 on a charge of Grand Larceny 3rd, a class D felony. The Charge stems from an investigation into Cooley taking $22,500.00, on February 14th 2014, from a person to build a house in the Town of Waterloo. Investigation revealed that Cooley never bought any construction materials and did not build the house. Cooley was arraigned in Town of Waterloo Court where he was comitted to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $750.00 cash or $1,500.00 bail bond. Cooley is to return to Town of Waterloo court on January 15th 2015 at 5:00 pm to answer the charges.
