Press Release - Seneca County Sheriff issues travel advisory
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
12-10-2014 @ 3:00 PM - Seneca County Sheriff Jack S. Stenberg has issued a travel advisory for all roads in Seneca County. Heavy persistent snowfall in areas of Seneca County has made travel difficult. Since 11:00 a.m., law enforcement and emergency services in Seneca County have responded to over 30 motor vehicle accidents, mostly cars sliding off the roads. The major cause of most of these accidents has been excessive speed for the deteriorating road conditions. None of the accidents have been serious and Sheriff Stenberg cautions drivers to exercise caution, reduce speed and leave extra time to arrive at your destination. State, County and local highway crews are out treating the roads, however, roads remain snow covered and slippery.
