Press Release - Possession of Stolen Property Arrest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
10-13-14 Seneca County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Rastafari A. Brown, age 25, of 124 James St,. Utica, NY, and Jessica M. Brown, age 24, of 326 Japer St. Syracuse NY. They were both charged with the following; Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, (E Felony), two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, (A Misdemeanor), and Possession of Burglars Tools, (A Misdemeanor). The above charges stem from a shoplifting complaint from the Waterloo Premium Outlets. It is alleged that both Rastafari and Jessica possessed multiple stolen items from various stores. They were also in possession of a modified shopping bag used to conceal stolen items. The larceny's occurred while two children aged 5 and 6 were present.
Rastafari Brown was arraigned at the Town of Junius Court and committed to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff in lieu of $5,000/$10,000. A felony hearing is scheduled for 10/17/14 at 6:00PM.
Jessica Brown was also arraigned a the Town of Junius Court. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled for a return date of 11/20/14 at 7:00PM.
Sheriff's were assisted at the scene by the NYSP. Child Protective Services were also notified.
