Press Release - South Seneca Ambulance Bookeeper arrested
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
07-25-2014 Seneca County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Angel J. Lawrence, 49, of 1343 Main Street, Willard, NY. Lawrence was arrested following an investigation into the theft of money from the South Seneca Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Inc.. The investigation into this matter was initiated by the Board of Directors of South Seneca Ambulance Corps. It is alleged that Lawrence, as bookeeper between 2012 and June 2014 allegedly misappropriated $163,849.69 for her personal use. Lawrence has been charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree a class "C" felony, one count of Forgery in the Second Degree a class "D" felony and one one count of Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree, a class "E" felony.
Lawrence was arraigned in the Town of Fayette Court before the Hon. Justice Joseph Sapio at which time she was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 bond. Lawrence is scheduled to re-appear in court on July 29th 2014 to answer the charges.
The investigation is continuing.
