The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Investigators arrested Derek A. Baker,36, of 929 Yale Station Rd on 8/24/21 at 0900 am. Baker was charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree(class D Felony) and one count of Petit Larceny(Class A Misdemeanor). It is alleged that over the coarse of 2 months in early 2021 Baker stole over $7000 from a bank account of a Town of Fayette resident. Further, Baker also stole coins and jewelry valued at over $6800 from the same victim. Baker had also used the victim’s EZPass without permission for over $200 in tolls. Baker was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Fayette Court on 9/1/21 at 7pm to answer the charges.
