The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on January 28, 2023 at around 8:00 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of State Route 96A and County Road 132A on a White Mazda 6 sedan for not having a functioning headlamp. A roadside investigation conducted by members of the Sheriff’s Office and NYS Police lead to the seizure of a small amount of Cocaine belonging to 40 year old Robert A. Prentice of Ovid. Prentice was subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Prentice was transported to the Seneca County Jail where he was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Prentice will be expected to appear before the Romulus Town Court at a later date to answer for the charges against him. 23SH02249. 146.
