BENCH WARRANT ARREST/ PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND

THE SENECA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS ON 9/1/18 AT APPROXMIATELY 10:15 AM DEPUTIES ARRESTED DEANN R. JOLL, AGE 48, OF 66 WASHINGTON ST  WATERLOO ON A BENCH WARRANT FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR IN THE TOWN OF TYRE COURT,ON CHARGES OF CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO A VILLAGE OF WATERLOO RESIDENCE , LOCATED JOLL AND ARRESTED HER ON THE WARRANT . JOLL WAS THEN TRANSPORTED TO THE SENECA COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY IN ROMULUS WHERE SHE WAS  LATER ARRAIGNED  IN THE CENTRALIZED ARRAIGNMENT COURT AND COMMITTED ON $5000 CASH/ $10,000 BAILBOND.

 AFTER ARRAIGNMENT AND UPON HER BEING SEARCHED AT THE JAIL SHE WAS FOUND TO HAVE SECRETED DRUGS ON HER PERSON 

  ON 9/3/18 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:35 AM ADDITIONAL CHARGES WERE PRESSED ON JOLL . JOLL WAS CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE 7TH DEGREE AND PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND IN THE 2ND DEGREE, BOTH CLASS A MISDEMEANORS.  JOLL WAS ARRAIGNED ON THE NEW CHARGES AND WAS COMMMITTED ON AN ADDITIONAL $1000 BAIL AND IS TO APPEAR IN ROMULUS TOWN COURT ON SEPT 28 AT 10AM.

DWAI-drugs arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on August 28th, 2018 at about 01:30am, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Steven S Langley, 48, of 5535 State Route 96 Romulus, NY, on State Route 336 and State Route 96A in the Town of Varick. Langley was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by a Drug, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The arrest stems from an investigation of suspicious activity. Langley was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Varick Court on October 3rd, 2018 at 7:00pm to answer the charges.  CR#18SH0297

 

Petit Larceny arrests

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 3rd, 2018 at about 5:00pm, Deputies arrested Kenya Callier, 32, of 49 Fairbanks St Rochester, NY, and Shabon D Banks, 35, of 312 Golden Rod Lane Rochester, NY for Petit Larceny. It is alleged that the two females stole property from a Town of Junius business. Both females were committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment Court.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

July 6th, 2018: NARCO arrested a subject for trafficking “crack” cocaine in Waterloo and Fayette.

July 9th, 2018: Investigators tracked down and arrested a Registered Sex Offender on a Bench Warrant after he failed to appear in Court.

July 11th, 2018: Deputies and Investigators assisted Waterloo P.D. and State Police with a double homicide in Waterloo.

July 13th, 2018: NARCO charged a subject for possessing cocaine in the Town of Waterloo.

July 14th, 2018: An animal abuse complaint in Romulus resulted in a subject being arrested for torturing a dog.

July 22nd, 2018: A call of an assault at a concert at the Del Lago Casino resulted in a band member being arrested.

July 26th, 2018: Road Patrol responded to a call of suspicious activity at a Town of Ovid residence that resulted in Domestic Violence and Drug charges.

July, 2018: 3 subjects were arrested for Welfare Fraud with a total of 8 charges.

Pistol Permit Hours

A friendly reminder to all pistol permit customers that the extended Wednesday hours have ended. Lodi Curfew Suspended

Effective this date Sheriff Luce has lifted the Curfew in the Town of Lodi which was in affect since the flooding.  Seneca County Sheriff Deputies will continue to patrol the area. Sheriff Luce advises residents   to call and  report any suspicious activity or any other concerns they may have to Law Enforcement.

MVA / car fire / DWI

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on August 28, 2018 at approximately 8:12PM Deputies responded to 1072 State Route 96 in the Town of Waterloo for the report of a two car PIMVA . Deputies state that Karen A. Lavoski, 44 of 214 Spring Run, Clifton Springs New York was operating northbound on State Route 96 when her SUV was rear-ended by Nathan M. Stenberg, 18 of 2089 Mills Road Waterloo . Both vehicles then  crossed the southbound lane after the collision and struck a drainage ditch before coming to rest in the yard of 1072 State Route 96,( The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses  Church) , causing damage to the lawn .  The car operated by  Stenberg  caught fire as a result of the accident.  Deputies arrived and were assisted by Waterloo Police Department in trying to extinguish the fire. The Waterloo Fire Department  also arrived and quickly extinguished the fire. North Seneca Ambulance also responded as both operators reported complaints of pain , but were checked at the scene and refused medical treatment.

Both vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene due to damages , the Stenberg vehicle also sustained heavy damage as a result of the fire.

Deputies investigating the accident report the vehicle Stenberg was driving was also involved in a property damage accident in the Village of Waterloo minutes before the accident on State Route 96, and report Waterloo PD is investigating that accident.

Deputies charged  Stenberg  with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by the combined influence of drugs and alcohol, and Reckless Driving. Deputies issued him tickets , and he is to appear in the Town of Waterloo court on October 12, 2018 at 3PM to answer the charges.

Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on August 28, 2018 at 1:45PM, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Kyle W. Craig , age 27 of Seneca Falls, NY and Danielle Yonge, age 19, of Savannah, NY. Craig and Yonge were arrested after an investigation in to the sale of heroin within Seneca Falls and Waterloo.

Craig was charged with the following:

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts)- Class B Felonies

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (3 counts)- Class B Felonies

Tampering with Physical Evidence- Class E Felony

Resisting Arrest- Class A Misdemeanor

Yonge was charged with the following:

Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts)- Class B Felonies

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts)- Class B Felonies

During the arrest of Craig and Yonge, Sheriff’s Investigators had to actively pursue Craig on foot after he failed to comply with law enforcement. This prompted a response from members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, New York State Police, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police, and Seneca Falls Police Department. Craig was successfully apprehended in the area of Auburn Road and Lamb Road in the Town of Seneca Falls after he actively resisted arrest and attempted to dispose of multiple bags of heroin and marihuana. Yonge was arrested approximately 1 hour later after she was discovered hiding in a nearby apartment. Both Craig and Yonge were arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Court. Yonge is being held of $2,000/$4,000 bail. Craig is being held on no bail due to prior felony convictions. They are both scheduled for a felony hearing in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 08/31/18 at 3:00PM.

MVA /DWI Felony / Narcan use

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on August 25, 2018 around 7PM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one car personal injury accident on State Route 96A and Co Rd 129 in the Town of Lodi. Upon arrival Deputies saw two males in the vehicle unconscious. Sheriff’s Deputies administered multiple doses of  narcan  to both males and removed  them from the vehicle. Driver, Joshua Dickinson, age 40 of 8543 Mill St Lodi NY was able to regain consciousness when members of the Fire Department were holding him upright while moving him away from the vehicle. Passenger, Keith Dickinson, age 65 also of Mill St  Lodi NY remained unconscious and was put into South Seneca  ambulance awaiting roadside.   After he regained consciousness , upon further investigation  Keith Dickinson was found to have drugs on his person and after signing off from the ambulance with no injuries, was arrested for one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree. Joshua Dickinson also signed off with no injuries and was arrested for one count driving while intoxicated, one count of driving while intoxicated combination alcohol/drugs, and one count improper right turn at intersection. Both DWI charges are felonies due to a previous conviction of DWI in the past ten years. Both Joshua and Keith Dickinson were arraigned at 8AM at the centralized arraignment court in Romulus NY. Keith Dickinson was released on his own recognizance and is to appear in the Town of Lodi Court September 19, 2018 at 10AM. Joshua Dickinson was committed to the Seneca County Jail on $1000 cash or $2000 bond and is to appear in the Town of Lodi Court August 30, 2018 at 10AM.  The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by South Seneca Ambulance, as well as Lodi, Ovid, and Interlaken Fire Departments.

Trespass arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 08-23-2018 at around 05:30am Deputies arrested Kelly O’Connor,  age 42 , of  115 Kent St Palmyra for Trespass. Deputies responded to Del Lago Casino for a report of an intoxicated female who was refusing to leave. Del Lago Security staff, and Deputies offered O’Connor several opportunities to leave the business, but she refused all opportunities to leave peacefully.  O’ Connor was arrested and issued an appearance ticket and is appear in the Town of Tyre Court on 10-03-2018 to answer to the charge.
