The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 08/15/19 at 10:52 PM, Deputies responded the area of 947 Waterloo Geneva Rd in the Town of Waterloo for a one car personal injury accident involving a pedestrian. Upon investigating the accident, Deputies learned that a 2019 Toyota Camry, being driven by Andrew Keenan, age 53, of Myersville Maryland, was traveling eastbound on Waterloo Geneva Rd (Rt 5 ) when he struck Benjamin Pardee, age 37, of 895 Waterloo-Geneva Rd Waterloo, NY. According to Deputies, Keenan does not appear to be at fault as Pardee was standing in the middle of the road when he was struck. Pardee sustained injuries to the head and was flown to Strong Hospital by Lifenet air ambulance , where he is undergoing treatment . No injuries were reported by anyone in the vehicle and the vehicle was towed from the scene. NYSP, Waterloo Police, Waterloo Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance all assisted at the scene, Deputies report the investigation is ongoing.
