House Fire

The Seneca Count Sheriff’s Office reports that multiple fire departments from Seneca County are battling a residential house fire at 6828 Beaujon Rd in the Town Of Romulus. The incident was reported by a passerby and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Surrounding fire departments are assisting and NY State Fire Investigators are on scene. It was reported that the house was not occupied by the homeowner at the time and several animals were saved. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of fire


Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 12/6/21 at approx 1920hrs Deputies arrested Ronald Johnson Jr, 27, of Rochester on an arrest warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle 3rd degree. Johnson was arraigned at CAP court and ROR’ed. A class B order of protection was issued for the victim. Johnson is to reappear in the Town of Romulus court on 12/17/21 at 1030hrs.


Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on November 28th 2021 at approx. 1812 hrs. deputies arrested Tammy M. Wadhams, 60, of Romulus on two counts of Endangering the welfare of a child( class A misdemeanor) and one count of harassment 2nd degree (violation). The arrests stem from an incident where deputies were called to a residence in Romulus for a reported domestic. It is alleged that Wadhams had struck another person while two young children were present. Wadhams was arraigned in CAP court and released. A class B order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the two young children.

Bench Warrant

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 11/28/2021 at 6:45 pm, Deputies arrested Alexender Capalongo, age 28, of Ithaca, NY on a bench warrant for failure to appear. The bench warrant stems from an incident on 08/20/2020 where it is alleged that Capalongo committed the crime of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and AUO 1st and failed to appear in court to answer charges. Capalongo was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and was arraigned in CAP court. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.

Larceny/ Drugs

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on November 24th, 2021 at 5:30 PM deputies arrested four individuals while at a business in the Town of Junius. Albert George, 45, of 823 Eastern Ave Schenectady NY for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree. Gregory E Morton, 54, of 730 Bridge St Apt 2 Schenectady NY for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree. Veronica L Welch, 41, of 5 Saint Ann Lane Scotia NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Elisia Maxwell, 30, of 485 Myrtle Ave Albany NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. The arrest stems from an investigation into a theft that had occurred at a local business. Upon locating a vehicle used in the crime, stolen merchandise was recovered along with narcotics and drug paraphernalia. All four individuals were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Junius on November 16th 2021 to answer the charges. 135 – 21SH14051

Criminal mischief, reckless endangerment

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on November 23rd 2021 at 2:00 pm Deputies arrested Dominick J. D’Eredita III ,age 44 , of 1191 Leader Rd Geneva, NY 14456. D’Eredita was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th, Reckless Endangerment 2nd and Criminal Mischief 4th. The charges stem from an incident that took place on County Road 121 in the Town Of Fayette. It is alleged that D’Eredita broke a door handle of a vehicle and reached in an open window of the vehicle and grabbed the drivers arm, Then he recklessly opened the door of a second moving vehicle and tried to take control of the moving vehicle and endangered the driver and caused the driver to speed up and drag D’Eredita along the road. D’Eredita was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the T/Fayette Court on 01-05-22 at 7:00 pm to answer to the charges.

Domestic Violence

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the 22nd of November 2021 around 2:35pm, Sheriff’s Deputies executed an arrest warrant for Timothy Torbitt 36 of Waterloo N.Y. The charges stem from a domestic incident that occurred on November 20th 2021 in the Town Of Waterloo. The investigation determined that Torbitt had violated a Full Stay Away Order or Protection issued from Waterloo Town Court. Torbitt has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the second degree. Torbitt turned himself in to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office at 2:35pm on November 22nd and is currently awaiting arraignment at Seneca County CAP court.


Sheriff Luce reports that on Sunday November 21 2021 at around 2:46 AM Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were sent to a residence in the Town of Covert on County Road 141 for the report of a physical domestic. Thirty Seven year old Thomas A. Rapalee of 3844 County Road 141 in the Town of Covert NY was arrested for the charges of Assault in the third degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the second degree and Coercion in the 3rd degree. The arrest stemmed from a domestic incident where it was alleged that Thomas had physically attacked the victim and dragged her down a set of stairs causing physical injury. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Thomas was arrested later in the day after an arrest warrant was signed out of the Town of Cover Court. Deputies located Thomas at his residence and were able to execute the warrant without incident. Thomas was taken to the Seneca County Correctional facility and held for CAP Court to answer the charges.

Vehicle Fire

The Seneca County Sheriff’s office reports that on 11/17/21 at approximately 10:56PM, Deputies responded to Del Lago Casino for the report of a vehicle Fire. Upon arrival, Deputies observed an unoccupied vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Deputies could not approach the vehicle due to several explosions coming from the vehicle and the parking garage being full of thick smoke. After further investigation, the operator Perla Espada of Rochester and three other occupants entered the parking garage when the engine began to smoke, causing smoke to enter the inside of the vehicle. All occupants then exited the vehicle and were uninjured. Waterloo and Clyde Fire departments were on scene to extinguish the blaze. The vehicle was a total loss and was towed from the scene.

AUO 2nd

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday, November 13th 2021 at around 6:52pm Deputies arrested 29 year old Xavier J. Alford of Liverpool, New York. The arrest was the result of a traffic stop that occurred in the Town of Junius. Alford was stopped for operating a motor vehicle with only one headlight; and upon further investigation it was found that his driver’s license was revoked. Alford was charged with operating a motor vehicle with one headlight, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 2nd. Alford was released on appearance tickets and is set to appear in the Town of Junius Court on a later date to answer to the charges.
