Criminal Mischief

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 09/18/21 at approx. 2117hrs Deputies arrested Gianni Quattrociocchi, 54, of Webster for criminal Mischief in the 4th degree a class A misdemeanor. The arrest stems from a complaint were deputies were called to a business in Tyre for a patron that caused damage to a property belonging to a restaurant. Upon investigation it was discovered that Quattrociocchi had caused damage to property belonging to someone else. Quattrociocchi was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Quattrociocchi is to appear in the Town Of Tyre Court on 09/28/21 @ 1330hrs to answer to the charge. CR21SH11374

DWI

On September 6th, 2021 the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Casey R. Taylor, 30 years old, of Elmira New York was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest is the result of an investigation into a one car Personal Injury motor vehicle crash that occurred in the Town of Romulus. Taylor was the only individual involved in the accident and suffered from only minor injuries. Taylor was issued appearance tickets for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a BAC of .08% or higher, and Failure to Keep Right. Taylor is to appear in the Town of Romulus Court at a later date to answer to the charges. Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of South Seneca Ambulance, Ovid Fire Department, Romulus Fire Department and the NYS Park Police.

Vehicle Pursuit

The Seneca Co. Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday September 3rd 2021 at around 11:00 PM Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 26 year old Nicolo B. Petrocci of 3622 County Line Road Skaneateles NY following a vehicle pursuit. It was reported that Deputies observed a vehicle operating erratically and passing through a red light at an intersection. A traffic stop was initiated in the area of State Route 89 and Hyatt Road in the Town of Seneca Falls. Deputies say Petrocci failed to produce identification when requested and fled the traffic stop. A vehicle pursuit ensued which traveled through multiple townships, Deputies were able to apprehend Petrocci without further incident. Petrocci was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Unlawful fleeing a Police Officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, Resisting Arrest, Failing to Comply with Lawful Orders, Reckless Driving along with multiple other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Petrocci was issued appearance tickets and is to answer the charges on a later date.

Criminal Mischief

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the 25th of August 2021 Kaja Kennedy 34 of 73 Border City Road was arrested for Criminal Mischief. The arrest stems from an investigation that occurred on the 8th of August 2021 at a residence in the Town of Waterloo. The investigation determined that Kennedy utilized a metal baseball bat to smash a windshield on another individuals vehicle. There was no reported injuries. Kennedy was arraigned in Waterloo Town Court and has to re-appear Nov 10th 2021 at 5:00pm.

Criminal Contempt/ AUO

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on August 27th, 2021 Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Braydon M Edwards Age 30, of159 Waterloo St Clyde, NY, in the Town Of Seneca Falls at 9:29pm. Edwards was charged with Criminal Contempt in the second Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and Fail to Yield at a Yield Sign.

Deputies report that Edwards was stopped for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, Edwards was also found to be violation a Class A Order of Protection. Edwards was transported to the Seneca County Correctional facility and was held pending arraignment.

Criminal Contempt

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 8/25/21 at 8:29 AM Deputies arrested Calvin J. Solomon, age 40 of Lyons, on an Arrest Warrant for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. The Warrant stems from a domestic incident on 3/1/21 which occurred in Wayne County and continued into Seneca County. It is alleged that Solomon engaged in a physical domestic in Wayne County then had the victim drive him to an address in the Town of Tyre. At the time of this incident the victim was the protected party of a Class A Order of Protection against Solomon. Solomon was turned over to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.

Warrant

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 8/19/21 at 12:56 pm Deputies responded to the Cayuga County Jail and arrested Joshua L. Patterson, age 37 of Auburn, on a Warrant for Violation of Pretrial Release. The warrant stems from an incident on 2/25/21 where it is alleged Patterson committed Petit Larceny at a Town of Junius business. Patterson was transported to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment in CAP Court.

High water advisory

Seneca County Sheriff, W. Timothy Luce, has issued a high water advisory for Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, and the Canal in Seneca County. The high water advisory includes a “no wake zone” within 500 feet of shore when traveling on the lakes. Also, Seneca County Sheriff Luce, advises boaters to be aware of floating debris in the water. The high water advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

MVA/ Vehicle Fire

PI Accident/Vehicle Fire

On 08/16/2021 at around 8:15 pm, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 418 Thorne Rd for the single vehicle crash. Deputies say David VanHouten, 21, of Waterloo, NY was traveling southbound on Smith Rd and attempted to make a left turn onto Thorne Rd. VanHouten lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch on the south side of the road. When deputies arrived on scene, the vehicle had caught on fire and was completely engulfed in flames. Junius Fire Department responded and was able to put the fire out. Also in the vehicle were Charles Damick, 17, and Tristen Greenfield, 19, both of Waterloo, NY. No injuries were reported. Deputies say the vehicle was a total loss and had to be towed away from the scene. VanHouten was issued UTT’s for Unreasonable Speed and Improper Turn.

DWI

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 8/12/21 at 1:47 PM Deputies arrested Melissa A. Peters, age 50 of Waterloo, for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving while blood alcohol content is greater than .08% and Moving unsafely from lane. The charges stem from a traffic complaint where it is alleged a female passenger was riding on the roof without a shirt and flashing her buttocks to oncoming traffic. After searching the area Deputies located the suspect vehicle northbound on Black Brook Rd, in the Town of Tyre, and observed the vehicle cross the center line several times into the southbound lane. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and after investigation determined Peters was driving under the influence of alcohol. Peters was released on appearance tickets and is due to appear in the Town of Tyre Court on 8/24/21 at 1:30 PM to answer to the charges. Deputies were assisted on scene by SFPD.
