Larceny/Criminal Impersonation

Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies report that on April 4th 2022, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Dennis Hightower 56 of 623 Avenue D, Rochester NY on 2 Warrants. The arrests stem from 2 septate incidents that occurred at a local business in the Town of Waterloo NY and the Town of Romulus. It is alleged that Hightower stole merchandise worth 928.00 dollars and then provided a false name to avoid being arrested on a pending warrant. Hightower has been charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree. Hightower is currently awaiting arraignment at the Seneca County Correctional Facility.


The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 3/31/2022, deputies arrested Audra A. Davis D.O.B. 01/30/1973, of 108 Vienna Rd, Newark NY 14513, for AUO 3rd and Operating a vehicle with suspended registration. The arrest stems from an investigation into a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at State Route 96 and Townline Rd in the Town of Waterloo. It was found Davis was operating, NY reg KKY9529, Southbound on State Route 96 when a vehicle bearing, NY reg FTS8589, operated by Manolin Roman Jr. of 50 E Genesee Street, Clyde NY 14433, failed to yield right of way at the intersection and pulled out in front of Davis, heading South on Townline Rd, causing the accident. Roman sustained a low back injury and was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for treatment. Davis was uninjured. Roman was issued a UTT for failing to yield right of way at an intersection. Davis was issued UTT’s for AUO 3rd and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. North Seneca Ambulance, Border City Fire, Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and Department of Environmental Conservation Police, all responded to the scene to assist.


Bench Warrants

On April 1st, 2022 the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that John B. Orak, 53 years old, of Ithaca New York was arrested for two outstanding Bench Warrants. Both warrants were issued out of the Town of Covert Court and each were for Failure to Appear. Orak was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment. Deputies were assisted by the Ithaca Police Department.


Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 03/31/2022 at approx. 2035hrs deputies responded to 1067 State Route 96 in Waterloo for the reported structure fire. Upon arrival Deputies observed that a grain bin with crops inside had caught on fire. Border City , Oak corners, Waterloo and Geneva fire departments responded and were able to extinguish the fire. The grain bin owned by Quentin Good of Waterloo sustained minor damage and was insured.

Criminal Contempt 1st degree- Violating an O.P.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 3/27/2022 at 12:40 PM Deputies arrested Charles J. McCoy, age 64 of Ovid, for three counts of Criminal Contempt in the first degree (E Felony). Deputies report McCoy is accused of violating a Class A Order of Protection on three occasions. It’s alleged McCoy called the protected party and left voicemails. McCoy was taken into custody and turned over to the Seneca County Jail to await CAP Court.

Probation Warrant

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on March 25, 2022 at around 3:15 p.m., Deputies responded to the Seneca County Office Building and took custody of 38 year old Alexander N. Leroy of 21 West River Street in Waterloo on a Probation Warrant out of the state of Tennessee for a Probation Violation. Leroy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Seneca County Jail where he will be housed until law enforcement officials from Tennessee are able to come pick Leroy up and transport him back to Tennessee. 22SH05875. 146

Grand Larceny/ Criminal possession of Stolen property

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 3/24/22 at 7:53 am Deputies arrested Tara N. Tanner, age 31 of Auburn, and Megan K. Workman, age 36 of Cato, for several charges following a Larceny investigation at a Town of Tyre business. This incident stems from a complaint of a stolen purse containing credit cards, debit cards, misc identification documents and jewelry. Tanner and Workman were located and placed in custody.

Tanner was charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree (E Felony), Grand Larceny 3rd (D Felony), Conspiracy 5th (A Misdemeanor) and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (D Felony). Tanner was processed, released on appearance tickets and turned over to WPD for a felony arrest warrant.

Workman was charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree (E Felony), Grand Larceny 3rd (D Felony) and Conspiracy 5th (A Misdemeanor). Workman was processed, released on appearance tickets and turned over to Cayuga Co Sheriff’s Office for a warrant.

Both are scheduled to appear in the Town of Tyre Court on 4/20/22 at 4pm to answer to the charges.

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property/AUO 2nd

The Seneca County Sheriff’s office reports that on March 22nd , 2022,at 09:32 PM, Seneca County Deputies arrested Chad M Chapman, Age 36, of 196 Lilac Lane Syracuse NY 13209, on State Route 89 in the Town of Covert. Chapman was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd, Failure to keep right, Failure to use designated lane, Failure to stop at a stop sign, and Failure to make a safe turn and failure to obey a police officer.

Deputies report that the arrest stems from a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle that began in Tomkins County. When the pursuit entered Seneca County, Seneca County Deputies were able to use stop sticks to puncture the tires of the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was eventually stopped and Chapman was taken into custody before being turned over to jail staff to await arraignment.


The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday March 19th, 2022 at around 3:46am, Deputies were called to the scene of a single vehicle Property Damage Accident that occurred on County Road 139 in the Town of Ovid. Upon further investigation, Deputies arrested the driver, Tyler C. Huff, after it was discovered that Huff’s New York State Driving privileges were suspended. Huff was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, a misdemeanor along with a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Moving From Lane Unsafely. Huff was released on an appearance ticket. Huff is set to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on a later date to answer the charges.


The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on March 15th 2022 at 06:30 PM, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Michael S Wilson, 62, of 5854 State Route 96 Romulus Ny, on State Route 96 in the Town of Romulus. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with .08% of 1% or more and Uninspected Motor Vehicle. Wilson was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Romulus Court on April 22nd 2022 at 10 AM to answer the charges. CR# 22SH05267 Badge #135
