The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on May 30th, 2019, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Berain L. Winfield, age 36, of Syracuse, N.Y. The arrest stems from an investigation where it is alleged that Winfield had stolen a vehicle from a Town of Seneca Falls residence on April 23rd 2019 . The stolen vehicle was recovered from inside a locked garage at a residence located in the Village of Waterloo where Winfield allegedly parked it in an attempt to conceal its location. Winfield was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (Class D Felony) relating to the stolen vehicle. In addition, New York State Parole issued a warrant for Winfield for violating the conditions of parole. Winfield is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility on the parole violation and is awaiting further court action.
